Mobile apps, IoT, compliance issues, and the crowded slate of startups are all working together to push the industry to evolve. They also bring challenges, such as data capture, user experience and value creation. How can the many proprietary formats and point solutions survive and succeed? How can we save people time instead of burdening them with messy connectivity issues? Are data silos an advantage or an outdated approach? How many apps will users actively engage with?
