I not certain what type of Varieties attributes come from the 20/20 Yield Sense files, but I can help with your second issue. I will have to do some more checking on this.
If you have the soil type background layers within the desktop software you can follow these steps to get average dry or any other yield data attributes such as Moisture etc using these 2 layers. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Display the desired yield/harvest job map as top layer. 2. When on the Map tab, go to the bottom section where there are more tabs displayed and select the Layers tab. 3. You will have 3 boxes for the Displayed - Views and Legend. 4. Highlight the desired attribute name such as Dry Yield or Moisture Attributes. 5. Click the Add View button. 6. Place Dot by Area for the Output. 7. Click the Browse button in the Area Options section and open the Client/Farm/(same field as the yield data and soil type map). Highlight the Soil type background layer name and click OK. 8. Check the option to Create new composite Layer 9. Click OK.
This will create a new area layer showing the average yield or moisture etc, for each soil type polygon.
