I have tested the date range on Livestock Enterprises in vs, 2010.5 and appears to be working. I want to make sure you understand what type of information you will get when using Date Range for livestock. You will only get just the activity that was recorded within that date range. Meaning if the livestock was purchase outside the Date Range entered the purchase costs and head count will not display on the report. ONLY the activity such as feedings or other inputs expenses during that time frame. So if you are looking for information to display in the bottom section for Feed Ratios (cost/unit) you will only see just the cost, but nothing else. Also in the section for Qty. on Hand, unless there was a purchase of head in that date range this area will also be blank.
If you are wanting to see feedings by one group, you may want to consider the GL Detail Report.
1. Go to Accounting -General Ledger-Cash Reports-General Ledger Detail Report. 2. On the left enter the desired Date Range for a certain month. 3. From the option section, check the box Select Specific Detail Items to Print. 4. On the right, scroll to the Asset section for the correct Livestock Account and check that box. 5. Click Print. 6. When the Details screen appears, send the desired Animal Group name over to the Items to Print and click OK.
The preview screen will display all the activity for the month. You will see a balance frwd amount, but only the transactions that were recorded within the date range entered. It will depend upon what other types of transactions were recorded on what you will see. But maybe this report will help a little.
